Aynı zamanda ICI ( uluslararası doğum inisiyasyonu) Türkiye temsilcisi olarak görev yapmaktadır.

Bireysel ve grup terapisti olarak 36 senedir çalışmaktadır. 2010 yılından beri de Keşkesiz Doğum Ekibinde Doğum Psikologu olarak ebe ve doktor ile doğumlara girmekte ve doğum anında da desteğini sadece aileye değil doğum ekipleri için de devam ettirmektedir.

Hedefi her kadının, sağlıklı anne-bebek kriterleri rehberliğinde tercih ettiği bir gebelik, doğum ve doğum sonrası sürecini yaşaması ve herkese aile ve ekipler dahil her koşulda kesintisiz destek verilmesinin sağlanmasıdır

Bu amaçla, Yas Doulalığı Eğitimi gibi anne karnında vefat eden bebeklerin doğumlarına da destek olma sürecini Doğum İçin Elele Derneğinde ilk olarak başlatmıştır.

Almanya ve Yunanistan ile beraber Ebelik eğitimleriyle ilgili Erasmus Plus Projesini bitirmiştir.

Uluslararası ve ulusal konferans ve kongrelerde konuşmacı olarak sunumlar yapmaktadır.

Yaşamını ve çalışmalarını doğumlara, doğum yapanlara ve tüm doğum destekçilerine adamıştır.

Doğum sonrasında da anne baba ve bebek terapisi sürecinde bebeklere doğum hikayelerini kendi dillerinden anlatmalarına alan açmaktadır.

APPPAH ( prenatal psikoloji ve sağlık derneği) , ISPPM ( uluslararası prenatal psikoloji ve tıp derneği) , EAP ( avrupa psikoterapi birliği), FEPTO ( avrupa psikodramaenstitüleri birliği), ENCA ( avrupa doğum dernekleri birliği), EDN ( avrupa doula birliği)aktif üyesidir.2019 da APPPAH ‘ın “Eğitmen Ödülü”ne layık görüşmüştür. Çeşitli makaleleri,kitap bölümleri vardır.

Neşe Karabekir holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Istanbul University and a Master's degree from Keele University in the United Kingdom. She is a certified Psychodrama Therapist and Trainer with extensive experience in psychotherapy, childbirth preparation, and prenatal psychology.

She is a founding member of the Istanbul Psychodrama Institute (1996), the Istanbul Birth Academy (2010), and the Hand in Hand for Birth Association (Doğum İçin El Ele Derneği) (2015), where she currently serves as Founder and President. She is also the Vice President of the International Society for Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Medicine (ISPPM) and a founding member and board member of the Prenatal Alliance Association.

As one of the founders of the Prenatal Sciences Partnership, she currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Hall of Honor. In addition, she acts as the Turkey Representative of the International Childbirth Initiative (ICI), promoting mother- and baby-friendly maternity care practices.

With more than 36 years of experience as an individual and group therapist, Neşe Karabekir has dedicated her professional life to supporting women, families, and birth professionals. Since 2010, she has served as the Birth Psychologist within the Regret-Free Childbirth Team, attending births alongside midwives and physicians. During labor, she provides continuous emotional and psychological support not only to families but also to healthcare teams involved in the birth process.

Her mission is to ensure that every woman experiences the pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum journey of her choice, guided by healthy mother-baby care principles and supported by continuous, compassionate care from both family members and professional teams under all circumstances.

In line with this mission, she pioneered the introduction of Bereavement Doula Training through the Hand in Hand for Birth Association, creating support pathways for families experiencing the loss of a baby during pregnancy and birth.

She has also successfully completed an Erasmus+ Project on Midwifery Education in collaboration with partners from Germany and Greece, contributing to international educational standards and professional development in midwifery.

Neşe Karabekir is a sought-after speaker at national and international congresses, conferences, and professional meetings, where she presents on topics including prenatal psychology, childbirth, psychotherapy, family-centered care, and birth support.

She has devoted her life and career to childbirth, birthing families, and all professionals who support the birth process. Following birth, she continues her work through mother-father-baby therapy, creating therapeutic spaces in which babies can express and integrate their birth experiences in their own unique language.

In addition to her clinical, educational, and organizational work, she has authored numerous articles and contributed chapters to professional publications, continuing to advance the fields of prenatal psychology, psychotherapy, and childbirth support both nationally and internationally.
